An item is considered protected only after its Libérons Cloud copy is confirmed. Photos and videos remain available in their Library sections.
Documents, PDFs, audio, archives, images, videos and other compatible files can be selected from Files. Generic protected files appear in Protected Files.
After protection is confirmed, you can keep the original or choose to remove it from the device. The protected copy remains in Libérons.
Protected photos and videos can be restored to Photos. Other files can be saved back to Files.
This recommendation applies only to the “Recently Deleted” album in the Photos app on your iPhone, when permanently deleting the items stored there. It does not apply to the initial removal from your photo library and is not a Libérons limit.
If Recently Deleted contains several thousand photos or videos that you want to erase permanently after verifying their protection in Libérons, avoid deleting everything in one operation. To help keep Photos and your iPhone responsive, work progressively:
Before permanently deleting anything from Recently Deleted, verify that content you intend to keep is protected, visible and accessible in Libérons. This is a stability recommendation for very large permanent deletions in Photos, not a Libérons storage limit.
If a protected item is recognized as a photo, find it under Library → Photos. If it is a video, find it under Library → Videos. Other file types are available under Protected Files.
Select the folder you want to examine. Libérons can show detected items, file types and sizes so you can choose exactly what to protect or delete. Delete without protecting removes the selected original without creating a Libérons copy.
A failed payment may start a 7-day regularization period. New protection may be paused and some recovery limited. If payment remains unresolved, certain features may then be suspended and an additional 20-day retention period may apply before affected content is deleted. Regularizing before that period expires cancels scheduled deletion.
Libérons always separates cloud protection from removal of the original. Verify protected status before permanently deleting important content.
